Defense Minister Pavlo Lebedev participated in the Ukraine - NATO commission meeting, which took place in NATO HQ in Brussels.
"We discussed the course of reform in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and identified the priority areas of cooperation with NATO in the defense sector for the medium term," the minister said.
In particular, among the priorities there is support for the military-political dialogue, reform and development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, international security, as well as cooperation in the field of military technologies.
The minister stressed that the scope of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO is increasing. "We want to strengthen and expand our cooperation with NATO and thank the alliance for their support in implementation of our reforms," Lebedev said.
He stressed that the aim of reforms in defense industry is the creation of mobile, highly professional armed forces able to participate in the international effort to maintain peace and security.
