Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak met President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Hugh Bayley, leading a NATO PA delegation on a visit to our country.
During the talks, the two sides discussed the possibility of expanding the dialogue and cooperation between the Ukrainian Parliament and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly as well as further development of NATO-Ukraine partnership.
Particular attention was paid to the internal political situation in our country. Volodymyr Rybak informed of the measures taken by the Ukrainian Parliament for finding ways out of the political and economic crisis, highly estimating attention of international partners to present developments in Ukraine.
NATO PA President positively characterized position of moderation the Government and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had taken in finding a compromise with the opposition forces. He also stressed the important role of the Ukrainian Parliament in addressing the current situation in the country.
