NATO put the entire range of NATO-Russia cooperation under review in connection with the events in Ukraine.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in an interview with U.S. broadcaster CNN, devoted to developments in Ukraine.
"Now we rethink our relationship with Russia, - he said - We have decided to suspend the practical cooperation with Russia. When the foreign ministers of NATO Member States meet on 1 and 2 April, they will review all of our relations with Russia."
"We were planning a joint mission to ensure maritime safety of an American vessel, which would neutralise Syria’s chemical weapons, - he recalled. We will escort it, but Russia will not participate in the mission. This is one of the examples of termination of cooperation."
