A meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the level of Deputy Permanent Representatives with participation of Chairman of the Board of "Naftogaz Ukraine" Andriy Kobolev and Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Igor Didenko, took place at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
During the meeting, topical issues of energy security of Ukraine in the context of Russia’s military aggression were addressed. In particular, the participants of the meeting exchanged views on security of energy supply to Ukraine and other European countries against the backdrop of an increasingly aggressive energy policy of Russia.
They also discussed ways of diversification of energy supply in Ukraine, enhancement of energy efficiency, the prospects of creating a consortium to manage Ukraine's gas transport system with the U.S. and EU.
During the meeting special attention was given to ways of resolving the issue of the inflated gas price demanded by the Russian Federation from Ukraine, including by taking the case to the Stockholm arbitration.
