In the course of the NATO Summit, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski.
The Head of State informed his Polish colleague on the developments in the Donbas and the possibility of initiating the peace plan.
The President of Ukraine emphasized that a document that provided for the stages of the implementation of the peace plan could be signed at the meeting of Trilateral contact group planned for September 5 in Minsk. "I hope that the implementation of the peace plan will begin tomorrow. Its first item is bilateral ceasefire," Petro Poroshenko noted.
The President of Poland resolutely condemned Russian aggression in Donetsk and Luhansk regions and actions aimed at undermining the statehood of Ukraine. "We support territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine," he said.
The parties reached an agreement on close cooperation in political, defense, economic and other spheres.
Bronisław Komorowski informed on the readiness of Polish experts to assist Ukraine in the implementation of the Association Agreement and structural reforms, as well as the reformation of local government.
