In the course of the NATO Summit in Newport, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.

The parties discussed cooperation on the implementation of the peace plan of the President, particularly the achievement of the ceasefire.

Angela Merkel expressed full support to the initiatives of Petro Poroshenko.
