The need for a joint response to a threat of the hybrid war was underlined during the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission

On 17 November 2014, the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the level of the Committee on partnerships and collective security on the topics peculiarities of the Russian side "hybrid" war against Ukraine, including the mass media was held at NATO Headquarters. Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine O.Lytvynenko and Ambassador at Large of the MFA of Ukraine D.I.Kuleba attended the meeting from the Ukrainian side.

During his speech, Dmitry Kuleba said that information warfare waged by Russia, threatens not only Ukraine, but also other countries. So, there should be a joint response to this threat, including the tools of interaction with NATO.

In his turn, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine O.V.Lytvynenko dedicated his presentation to the analysis of Russian use of tools of hybrid war. In particular, it was proved that Ukraine has to deal with a long-term operation of the Russian Federation. The use of military forces this year was a continuation of Russian aggression, which began in the mid-nineties.

Ukrainian delegation met with representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media during its visit to Brussels.
