Ukraine continues to develop a national system of military education in the framework of NATO Programme

On 21 November 2014, the meeting of the Joint Working Group Ukraine-NATO on military reform at the level of a core group was held at the headquarters of NATO (Brussels). The chairman of the meeting was Chief of the NATO Department of Political Affairs and Security Policy A.Bina.
The Ukrainian side was represented by the delegation led by the Director of the Department of Military Education and Science of Ukraine of the Ministry of Defence I.Tolok.
The state of implementation of the Roadmap of Ukraine-NATO cooperation in the framework of the program "Improving Military Education" (DEEP) for 2013-2016 was discussed. Attention was also paid to the further development of military education in Ukraine in the state of current crisis and the needs to enhance the combat readiness of the Armed Forces to reply on the foreign aggression.
Ukrainian side emphasized the importance of assisting to the members of antiterrorist operation for their social adaptation and psychological rehabilitation.
