Head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO, Ambassador Ihor Dolhov met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
The meeting focused on the progress of negotiations between President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande with President of Russia Vladimir Putin on de-escalation of the situation and combating the terrorist activity of the Russia-backed militants in eastern Ukraine.
During the meeting, NATO Secretary General said that the situation in eastern Ukraine as well as steps taken by the Ukrainian side and the international community to resolve the crisis peacefully are in the focus of attention of the Alliance. NATO will continue to provide the strongest possible political and practical support to Ukraine in these difficult times.
Ambassador Ihor Dolhov and Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg agreed to maintain regular contacts to exchange the topical information and to coordinate further actions.
