22 May 2015 15:44

Round table on theme "The Ukraine Crisis: a Breack-out from the post-Cola War" was organised by Belgian Alumni from the George C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies. The geopolitical aspects of the Russia provoked crisis in Ukraine, Russia's aggressive policy towards neighboring countries and the Western world in general, opportunities and prospects of forcing Russia to return to the framework of international law.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of Mission of Ukraine to NATO Yehor Bozhok stressed that despite the absence of a military solution to the crisis unleashed by Russia in Ukraine, Moscow, which understands only the language of force, will never abandon its imperial and aggressive strategy voluntarily. That is why political pressure on Russia and economic sanctions against it should not only be maintained but strengthened. Another powerful weapon against Russian aggression is strong Ukraine in terms of economic and defence. Our country must be able to resist not only the military intervention of the Russian army, but also Kremlin's economic provocations. That is why Ukraine needs further support from its friends within NATO and the EU to reform all sectors of life and increase internal defense.
