At the invitation of King of Belgians Philip I, the leadership of Belgian Parliament and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders, Head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO ad interim Yehor Bozhok and Military Representative of Ukraine to NATO Anatolii Petrenko took part in the events dedicated to the National Day of Belgium.
Among official events, the service at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula, a military parade and a reception at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium are to be held .
Note: National Day of the Kingdom of Belgium - Day of the King's oath was founded in 1890 in memory of the oath of the first Belgian monarch Leopold of Saxe-Coburg (21 July 1831). This event is also associated with the beginning of independent Belgium as a constitutional and parliamentary monarchy. In Belgium, the King is a head of state and a commander in chief of the armed forces.
