The today's top priority is to create a highly mobile, professional, well-equipped Armed Forces of Ukraine which are ready to perform assigned tasks, ensure the security of the state and deter military aggression in eastern Ukraine.

In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in particular, has introduced a new standard of training troops and authorities according to the NATO standards, optimized system of military education, taking into account the best practices of NATO countries approved to use the first five agreements on standardization in NATO - the so-called standards STANAG.
