On 22 of September 2015 Minister for Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg signed the Agreement on the Status of NATO Mission to Ukraine.
This Agreement formalizes the status of the diplomatic representative of NATO in Ukraine, which will be created on the basis of the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine and the NATO Documentation and Information Center in Ukraine.
For the first time in its history NATO will create unique representation in Ukraine, which has the status of Alliance's special partner.
The Agreement should be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
