Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On ratification of Agreement on the Status of the NATO Representation to Ukraine"

Agreement between Ukraine and NATO on the status of the NATO Representation to Ukraine was signed on 22 September 2015 in Kyiv and will enter into force on the date of notification by the Government of Ukraine on completion of their internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of this Agreement.

According to Article 2 of the Agreement NATO will establish the Representation which will consist of the NATO Liaison Office and the NATO Information and Documentation Center.

Representation should strengthen and expand Ukraine's participation in all activities of cooperation with NATO, providing advisory assistance to authorities of Ukraine, cooperation with relevant bodies of NATO in the context of appropriate measures of Ukraine-NATO cooperation programs and other events.
