International high-level workshop dedicated to Ukraine's experience in the field of civil emergency planning was held on 25-26 April at NATO Headquarters.
The Ukrainian delegation headed by Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechetkin took part in the event. The plenary sessions was co-chaired by NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Operations Francesca Tardioli. National experts from the member states and partner countries also participated in the workshop.
During the discussion, representatives of Ukraine shared the experience on responding to the challenges that our country facies as a result of the annexation of Crimea by Russia and Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine. In their turn, NATO experts provided a number of recommendations on ways to respond to these challenges.
