On 27 September, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine on European Integration Sergiy Petukhov paid a working visit to NATO Headquarters.
During the visit, he participated at the NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting at the level of Partnerships and Cooperative Security Committee. He also met with the NATO Deputy Legal Adviser Mr. Eddy Groenen.
Deputy Minister Petukhov in details informed the NATO side and Allies about the progress in and the first tangible results of judicial reform in Ukraine, as well as about the implementation of anti-corruption reforms to clean power and create a transparent and effective system of control over the authorities, in particular through the mechanism of electronic declaration of property, establishment of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention, creation of a single property rights register and other measures to improve the work of state authorities of Ukraine.
Allies praised the efforts of the Government of Ukraine in this dimension, stressing that resolute implementation and continuation of the reforms are crucial. They also expressed their readiness to provide Ukraine the maximum possible assistance, especially in the framework of the Comprehensive Assistance Package endorsed at the Warsaw Summit as well as in the course of implementation of the Annual National Programmes.
