A meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the ambassadorial level was conducted at the NATO headquarters. The meeting was attended by Minister of Ukraine for the Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Vadym Chernysh.
NATO-Ukraine Commission examined the current security, humanitarian and socio-economic situation in the Ukraine's territories temporarily occupied by Russia and its proxies. NATO side noted the importance of such briefings for proper its preparation for contacts with the Russian side. Allies emphasized that the illegal Russia's actions against Ukraine were and remain a priority issue on the agenda of contacts between NATO and Russia.
NATO-Ukraine Commission also discussed the agenda of political and practical cooperation in the light of preparation for NATO events at the level of Foreign Ministers, to be held on 6-7 December 2016. In this context, the allies unanimously stressed that support for Ukraine remains one of the NATO's priorities in the new security environment.
