At the request of Israel, which was distributed by the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre, Ukraine sent two special firefighter planes of the State Emergency Service - An-32P to struggle with the disaster.

The decree №519 / 2016 "On humanitarian assistance to the State of Israel" was signed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on November 24, 2016.

The plane An-32P is designed for extinguishing forest fires and at a time can take on board up to 8 tonnes of water.

In Israel's firefighting is taking part Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, USA, Croatia, Great Britain, France, Italy, Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt.
