The Minister of Defense of Ukraine met with NATO Secretary General J. Stoltenberg and defense ministers of Australia, Canada, Poland and the USA. During the meetings the parties discussed the security situation in the east of Ukraine, the state of reforming of the defense sector of our country and the measures taken by the Alliance to support this process.

The meetings showed the commitment of NATO and Allies to political support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, practical support for reforming of the defense and security spheres of our country and readiness for its further expansion.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine also took part in a meeting of Defense Ministers in the format of contributing countries of the NATO Mission in Afghanistan "Resolute Support". During the meeting, the participants discussed the current security situation in Afghanistan, the state and prospects for the future operation.

In his speech, Minister Stepan Poltorak emphasized the commitment of our state to maintain international peace and security, informed about the peacekeeping missions of Ukraine and the plans of the Defense Ministry to increase its participation in the Mission "Resolute Support".
