Meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Inter-Parliamentary Council take place in Brussels

Co-chairs of Ukraine-NATO Inter-Parliamentary Council Iryna Herashchenko and Raynell Andreychuk call on to deepen the Ukraine-NATO cooperation.

First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine I.Herashchenko noted the dynamic development of parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and NATO and also thanked the NATO side for its consistent support of the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. She emphasized that the decision to hold in Kyiv in 2020 the Spring session of the NATO PA is a powerful political signal of organization's support for our state.

I.Herashchenko drew attention to the fact that the growth of public support for the course on Ukraine's membership in NATO, which was observed during the Russian aggression, indicates fundamental changes in the minds of Ukrainians in recent years.

According to the results of the meeting, the co-chairman of the Ukraine-NATO Inter-Parliamentary Council made a joint statement confirming the support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and independence, condemning the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation and supporting the continuation of international sanctions against Russia until its full return to international law, and also urged Allies to increase assistance to Ukraine at the bilateral level.
