Minister of Defence of Ukraine S.Poltorak held talks with NATO Secretary General J.Stoltenberg

In Brussels, during a bilateral meeting General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak briefed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on specifics of military political situation in Ukraine and fighting Russian aggression in the east of Ukraine, as well as updated on the progress of ongoing reforms within the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

Minister of Defence of Ukraine valued the constructive work of the NATO advisers working within the defence ministry and thanked for the Comprehensive Assistance Package provided by the NATO nations.

“We move forward and respond to current challenges. We realize that the future of the Ukrainian state is closely tied with membership in the Alliance system of collective defence and security. Despite tense situation in the east of Ukraine our contribution to the Alliance operations will be kept and enhanced. We are ready to continue participation of the Ukrainian units in joint military exercises and combat training. Our military are ready to share experience in fighting hybrid warfare. I am sure NATO nations will become stronger due to our military potential, and Alliance support will contribute to Ukraine’s movement to the Euro-Atlantic standards”, Stepan Poltorak undelrined.
