Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine held a meeting with the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee

The meeting was a part of official visit of NATO North Atlantic Council to Ukraine. 

On October 31 Chief of the General Staff — Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Ruslan Khomchak held a meeting with the Chief of NATO Military Committee Air Chief Marshal Stuart Peach.

The meeting was a part of an official visit to Ukraine by the NATO North Atlantic Council. The parties discussed urgent issues such as maintenance of a military dialogue at the strategic level and establishment of professional relations between the senior leadership of the Alliance and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

— Today, the Armed Forces accomplish three major tasks of deterring hybrid Russian armed aggression and protecting our country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, conducting deep reform based on the NATO standards and principles as well as achieving the necessary interoperability level and responding NATO training requirements,"- stressed Lieutenant General Ruslan Khomchak.

Also during the meeting, Lieutenant General Ruslan Khomchak informed foreign delegation regarding the successes in the training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces according to NATO standards and practical steps in implementing of the command and control system.
