The representatives of the central authorities of Ukraine – members of State Interdepartmental Commission for NATO – Ukraine cooperation visited NATO headquarters in Brussels and SHAPE in Mons (Belgium).

The delegation included representatives of the President Administration and Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, National Security and Defence council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Emergency, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Security Service, State Committee for Television and broadcasting and the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

During the visit delegation members met with NATO Public Diplomacy division and International Military Staff.

Ukrainian officials took part in the discussion on Ukraine - NATO cooperation, including joint projects in preparation for the football championship Euro 2012, two NATO Partnership for Peace Trust funds and participation of Ukraine in and NATO-led operations.

During the meeting, NATO officials briefed members of Ukrainian delegation on new partnership policy of Alliance, preparation to Chocago Summit.

While visiting NATO headquarters representatives of central executive bodies of Ukraine met with the Head of Mission of Ukraine to NATO I. Dolhov.

Head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission discussed with the delegation the main directions of Ukraine-NATO cooperation. Informed about the preparations for the celebration of 15 anniversary of the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership between Ukraine and NATO and the visit of North Atlantic council to Ukraine.

He also stressed the importance and prospects of continuing the dialogue between NATO and Ukraine at all levels and in different areas.

The visit was organized with the assistance of the Office of Public Diplomacy Division and the Center for Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine.
