Delegation of NATO Permanent Representatives, led by the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, and joined by representatives from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Canada, and the Netherlands, has just concluded its visit to Ukraine.
The delegation spent three intensive days in Ukraine — a period filled with meaningful work and experiences that reinforced both their support for Ukraine and collective efforts to end the war.
NATO Permanent Representatives held a series of meetings with Ukraine’s top leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Energy, had insightful conversations with corps commanders, mobile air defence groups, and received briefings from AFU generals, visited a command post as well as defence drone and long-range weapon production facilities, inspected destroyed energy facilities, attended a presentation by the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
Importantly, the Permanent Representatives also visited Kharkiv — a heroic Ukrainian city that suffers daily from devastating Russian attacks and remains one of the most affected by the aggressor.
Without a doubt, this visit left a deep impression and became an important investment not only in strengthening understanding of the current situation in Ukraine but also in shaping decisions by the Allies that are of crucial importance at this moment.
