Head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO, Alyona Getmanchuk, visited SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) in Mons.

Ahead of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting and the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of Defence Ministers, she met with several senior NATO military representatives.

They held productive discussions on ensuring effective cooperation and coordination of the military assistance NATO is providing to Ukraine. Special attention was given to coordination between SHAPE and NSATU and their role in implementing the PURL initiative, which is currently of crucial importance to Ukraine. Timely, rapid, and sustainable provision of weapons through this initiative is essential in light of intensified Russian attacks.

During her visit, Head of the Ukrainian Mission met with Admiral Sir Keith Blount, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe; Lieutenant General Ludovic Pinon de Quincy, Vice Chief of Staff; Mr. Stephen Covington, Strategic and International Affairs; Rear Admiral Yusuf Karagülle, DCOS PD; Brigadier General Hans Houf, ACOS NSATU; and Brigadier General Stefou Theodoros, ACOS MIC, Major General Anthony Turner, DCOM SOFCOM.
