The Ambassador stressed that this is a crucial moment for everyone, as what is happening in Ukraine will determine the future of the global order. The outcome of this war will decide whether the rule of law and international principles prevail—or whether brute force dictates the future.
"There is no European security without a secure Ukraine. There is no Euro-Atlantic security without a strong and sovereign Ukraine. This is the moment to stand firm, to stay united," she emphasized.
Representatives of the ‘Cultural Forces’—talented musicians who joined the Armed Forces and have defended Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale invasion—also addressed the audience. They shared their personal stories and performed a number of compositions that deeply moved everyone present.
NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska also spoke, addressing the Permanent Representatives of Allies, representatives of the International Staff, NATO Military Staff, and partners.
The participants honored the fallen defenders of Ukraine with a minute of silence.
In addition, the Timeline of War exhibition was opened at NATO Headquarters. The photographs displayed in the exhibition vividly capture the heroic resistance of Ukrainians during the full-scale war unleashed by Russia, as well as Russia’s war crimes, the devastating consequences of its brutal attacks on Ukrainian cities, and the unyielding spirit of the Ukrainian people.
