On January 15, 2024, the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council Innovation and Hybrid Committee was held at NATO Headquarters, with the online participation of Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.
A key focus of the discussion was Ukraine's experience in innovation and cybersecurity. The Deputy Minister presented the Allies with the priorities of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in digital transformation, covering aspects such as digitalizing administrative and social services for the military, implementing IT solutions in logistics and personnel management, and providing the military with access to new technologies.
Kateryna Chernohorenko also briefed the partners on Ukraine's cybersecurity goals, emphasizing the primary objective of achieving interoperability with NATO, alongside the establishment of the Cyber Force and Cyber Reserve.
The Deputy Minister of Defense urged Allies to support Ukrainian cyber and IT projects through the Comprehensive Assistance Package Trust Fund.
The partners commended Ukraine's practical experience in repelling Russian cyberattacks and expressed interest in collaboration, advocating for the development of a NATO-Ukraine Roadmap for Innovation Cooperation.
