During the conversation, the parties confirmed the effectiveness of the PURL programme as an effective tool for meeting Ukraine's defence needs. Since its launch, the programme has provided over USD 3 billion in financial support, bringing together nearly 20 countries. Ukraine expressed its gratitude to NATO members who are currently investing in Ukrainian arms production and supported the expansion of partnership initiatives in defence production within the framework of the Build in Ukraine and Build with Ukraine programmes.
Special attention was paid to the issue of energy security and the protection of Ukraine's critical infrastructure from ongoing russian missile and drone attacks. The participants of the meeting also focused on the need to strengthen Europe's security belt, which is currently formed by Ukraine's frontline regions. This primarily concerns their reconstruction and rehabilitation in wartime conditions.
“Our strength lies in unity and resilience in the face of russian aggression,” Yulia Svyrydenko said.
