From 14 to 19 October 2013 as part of the NATO Days, a delegation of experts from NATO Strategic Commands visited Ukraine’s military higher educational institutions, including the ArmyAcademy named after hetman Petro Sagaidachny in Lviv, Kharkiv Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub and MilitaryAcademy in Odessa.
According to the NATO Days programme, the Alliance's partnership policy, concept of the NRF, professionalization of the Armed Forces and other issues were discussed in working groups. The Alliance’s initiatives, in which the Armed Forces of Ukraine take part, as well as the improvement of curriculum content pertaining to NATO-Ukraine cooperation were also elaborated during meetings.
Briefings and meeting held within the NATO Days contributed to raising awareness of cadets, students and faculty members of Ukraine's military academies and universities about NATO’s structure, the purpose of NATO’s ongoing transformation and to better understanding of the military cooperation between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Alliance.
The even is envisaged the Annual National Programme of NATO-Ukraine cooperation for 2013.
