On 24 October 2013, Ukrainian delegation led by Major General Serhiy Kotlyar, Chief of Armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participated in the annual meeting of the Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD), which took place at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

The delegation also included representatives of the State Concern Ukroboronprom and the Mission of Ukraine to NATO.

The importance of international cooperation in the sphere of armaments and military equipment while overcoming the consequences of the financial and economic crisis was emphasized at the meeting. It was also underlined that the development of national defence and security capabilities should be ensured by joint efforts of different countries.
