On 29-31 October 2013, a workshop on best practices in innovative education and training methodologies was held for senior management of education institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The National Defence University of Ukraine in Kyiv hosted the event.
The workshop was organized in the framework of Ukraine’s participation in the NATO Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP).
Senior educators from NATO countries informed participants of the workshop of topical issues of military education development and modernization. The delegation of the Alliance was led by Head of the National Defence University of Poland, Major General Boguslaw Pacek.
For reference: NATO Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) connects senior educators from NATO countries with their counterparts from partner countries with the objective of enhancing educational curricula and learning methods.
Ukraine joined the Programme in October 2012. It’s planned that teachers and professors from five defence education institutions located in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Sevastopol will participate in the first phase of its implementation (2013-2016).
