On 30-31 October 2013 General Hans-Lothar Domröse, Commander Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, paid a visit to Ukraine.
During the visit official talks between NATO and General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces delegations were hold. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Colonel General Volodymyr Zamana, Chief of General Staff – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The talks were focused on issues of military cooperation between Ukraine and the Alliance, including Ukrainian Marines’ participation in NATO Response Force Steadfast Jazz 2013 Exercise.
Commander Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum underlined that Ukraine was the first NATO partner country to join the NATO Response Force.
Besides, NATO representative expressed appreciation for Ukraine’s significant contribution to International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan. Willingness to share experience in the development of non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was also confirmed.
