On 6 November 2013, an international expert discussion “Ukraine, the Visegrad Group countries and NATO: towards the joint use of available mechanisms and instruments to increase regional security” was held in Sevastopol. The event was organised by the Centre for assistance to the geopolitical problems and Euro-Atlantic cooperation of the Black sea region studies NOMOS.
Among the participants of the conference were Head of the Ukrainian Mission to NATO, Ambassador Ihor Dolgov, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Thrasyvoulos Stamatopoulos, government officials from Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, scientists and experts in international relations, representatives of non-governmental organisations.
Participants discussed a wide range of topical issues in the field of regional security, in particular on cooperation with NATO and V4 in a context of Ukraine's non-alignment, CEE security as a component of the European and global security, civil society contribution to stability and security of the region.
