A meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the level of Political and Partnerships Committee dedicated to political and legal aspects of the Black Sea Fleet stationing in Ukraine was held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Political Section of the Separate Bilateral Directorate General of the Ukrainian MFA Ukraine Ihor Yaremenko briefed the Allies on the issue.
The participants exchanged views on the legal aspects and the regime of the Black Sea Fleet stationing in Ukraine, key challenges in this regards, including in the context of the engagement of the Black Sea Fleet units for the occupation of Ukraine’s Crimea.
