NATO PA delegation to observe parliamentary elections in Ukraine

Following an official invitation from Oleksandr Turchynov, Speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) will send a delegation to observe the conduct of the parliamentary elections which will take place in thecountry on Sunday 26 October 2014.
The delegation will consist of 18 members of parliament and staff, and will be headed by Rasa Jukneviciene, Deputy Head of the Lithuanian delegation to the NATO PA and Rapporteur of the NATO PA’s Sub-Committee on NATO Partnerships.
The NATO PA previously observed all presidential and parliamentary elections held in Ukraine since 2004.
