During the visit to NATO Headquarters in Brussels the Ukrainian delegation led by Deputy Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Chairman of the Ukrainian part of the Ukraine - NATO Joint Working Group on Defence Reform M.Koval held a series of meetings with the executive staffs of NATO's political and military structures.
During the meeting with NATO Deputy Secretary General A.Vershbow sides discussed the further development of relations between Ukraine and NATO, as well as state and prospects of cooperation in reforming of security and defense sectors in Ukraine. They emphasized the importance of implementation of the agreements reached at the NATO summit in Wales, including the implementation of projects under the new NATO trust funds to strengthen of the Ukrainian defense.
During the meeting with the Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Defence Policy and Planning D.Perish sides focused on the issue of NATO assistance in conducting a comprehensive review of the Ukrainian security and defense spheres. The Alliance also agreed to provide further advisory assistance.
Following the meeting the projects of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO aimed at supporting of the defense sector of our country and reforming of the national security sphere were identified
