The annual NATO conference on WMD arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation has started in the Qatari capital Doha. The Ukrainian delegation included representatives of the Administration of the President of Ukraine, Mission of Ukraine to NATO and the Embassy of Ukraine in Qatar is taking part in the event.
Future of non-proliferation of WMD taking into account the complexity of the security situation in the world as well as the impact of hybrid war against Ukraine on non-proliferation regime and CBRN agents dominated the agenda of the conference.
The speakers strongly condemned Russia's aggressive actions against Ukraine which violated all norms of international law and underlined the negative impact of such steps on the global situation.
Head of the Directorate General on Foreign Policy and European Integration of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Mr. Igor Zholkva stressed that Russia's annexation of the Ukrainian Autonomous Republic of Crimea, militarization of the area, and attacks of Russia-backed terrorists on the infrastructure of the Eastern Ukraine remained a serious threat to the non-proliferation regimes.
