On 12-13 of March 2015, a group of Ukrainian MPs, composed of representatives of all parliamentary factions and non-affiliated, worked at NATO Headquarters and the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO in Brussels. The visit was organized by the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine and the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO International Staff.
In particular, the Ukrainian MPs met with NATO Deputy Secretary General A.Vershbow, Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly D.Hobbs, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy T.Whiteside, other members of the NATO International Staff and the Secretariat of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Permanent Representatives of NATO member-states and the Head and staff of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO.
The main topics of the meeting were: resistance to hybrid war of Russian Federation against the Ukraine, NATO member-states' assistance to Ukraine, NATO-Ukraine cooperation in various fields, the role of parliament in the process of deepening cooperation between our state and NATO.
During the meetings it was agreed to strengthen Verkhovna Rada's control over the activity of Ukrainian Government aimed at cooperation with NATO and strengthen of inter-parliamentary contacts.
On 12 March the Ukrainian member of Parliament met with the representatives of Ukrainian community in Belgium at the premise of Embassy of Ukraine in Kingdom of Belgium.
