During the meeting, the UWC President Eugene Czolij and NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow discussed issues related to countering Russia’s aggression, which constitutes a threatens not only for Ukraine but also for the entire Euro-Atlantic community. They also exchanged views on prospects of settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine within the Minsk agreements.
Special attention was paid to the increase of the Alliance’s assistance to our country aimed at strengthening its defence capabilities.
The parties exchanged views on the possibilities of interaction between the UWC and NATO in the fight against Russian disinformation and propaganda.
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) has member organizations in 34 countries and ties with Ukrainians in 14 additional countries. Founded in 1967, the UWC was recognized in 2003 by the United Nations Economic and Social Council as a non-governmental organization with special consultative status.
