NATO to help Ukraine in creating of national system of strategic communications and in combating propaganda

The group of Ukrainian experts on strategic communications headed by Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Y.Stets visited the NATO Headquarters and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (Mons, Belgium) on 18-19 June 2015. The group included Ambassador at Large of MFA of Ukraine D.Kuleba, Mayor of city of Mariupol Y.Hotlubey, Civil Advisor to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine A.Frolova, Director of Department on information and public communication of the Secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine L.Shustenko and the representatives of other central executive authorities responsible for contacts with the public and the media.

The visit was organized by the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine and the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO's International Staff.

During the visit the Ukrainian experts met with the representatives of the NATO International Staff, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe and Acting Head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO Y.Bozhok.

The main topics of the meeting were resisting to the hybrid war of Russia against Ukraine in informational dimension. Special attention was paid to the issue of assisting Ukraine in creation of a national system of strategic communications and combating propaganda.

On 18 June 2015 the Ukrainian delegation met with the Ukrainian community in Belgium at the Embassy of Ukraine.
