On the margins of ministerial events in Brussels Minister Stepan Poltorak met with US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter

During the meeting they have discussed the crisis in eastern Ukraine, the deepening of bilateral cooperation and identified the practical ways of cooperation in the near future.
The US side reiterated further support to Ukraine and promised to provide assistance to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the context of reforms and strengthening of the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces.
