Meanwhile, NATO stresses the need for practical steps
On 28 October the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the level of deputy permanent representatives was held at NATO HQ. Ukraine's efforts to reduce corruption risks in the defence institutions and the results of cooperation between our country and the Alliance in this direction were discussed during the meeting.
Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NAB) Artem Sytnik and First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine M.Koval represented the Ukrainian side.
During the meeting the Ukrainian side informed about the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of Ukraine for 2015-2017 years.
It was also discussed the state of implementation of the relevant recommendations of the NATO experts.
Allies welcomed Ukraine's first steps to prevent and fight corruption in the national defence and security sector. They confirmed their intention to continue the assistance to our country in that direction, including to strengthen the capacity of NAB.
