On 29 October 2015, Chief of General Staff - Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko visited the NATO Headquarters and met with the Chairman of NATO Military Committee Petr Pavel.

During the meeting they discussed the security situation in the east of Ukraine and possible scenarios of its development in the short term.

Petr Pavel noted that the Chief of Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine reached a tangible results in reforming of the institution entrusted to him especially taking into account the ongoing efforts to resist the Russian military aggression.

Special attention was paid to the further reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to NATO standards and further assistance from the Alliance in this context.
