For the first time in history NATO starts cooperation with Ukraine in the areas of strategic analysis and planning, in view of hybrid threats from the Russian Federation

Head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO ad interim Yehor Bozhok took part in the conference “Russian Hybrid War and Politics in Europe”. Yakub Kalensky (East StratCom Task Force Member), Yury Fedorov (expert in Russian foreign and security policy), Mykhailo Gonchar (President, Center for Global Studies “Strategy XXI”) and Mykhailo Samus (Deputy Director for International Affairs) also participated in the panel.

The Head of the MUN ad interim spoke about the results that had been achieved in the cooperation on increasing preparedness for counting hybrid threats.

He briefly presented the results of the NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting with regard to further cooperation with the Alliance in relevant areas. He also outlined plans for cooperation in the short to mid-term perspective.

He paid special attention to the security situation in the east of Ukraine and to the elements of hybrid war that were being used by Russia to further destabilise the region.
