Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze visited the NATO Headquarters.
In the framework of the visit Vice Prime Minister met with NATO Secretary General J.Stoltenberg and took part in the meeting of NATO-Ukraine Commission, during which they discussed the main priorities of the Annual National Program of NATO-Ukraine cooperation for 2017 (ANP).
During her speech I.Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed that this year the ANP was developed using the recommendations of allies and with active involvement of civil society. Separately, she shared expectations of the Ukrainian party from the meeting of heads of state and government of NATO planned on 25 May 2017.
In his turn, NATO Secretary General J.Stoltenberg confirmed that Ukraine remains on the agenda of the Alliance. He said that tragic incident that occurred in eastern Ukraine with the members of the OSCE SMM showed worsening of security situation in the Donbas. In this context, the allies once again urged Russia to fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements. They also reaffirmed their continued support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
During the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission allies confirmed their decision to pay the visit of the North Atlantic Council to Ukraine.
