From the side of Alliance the meeting was Co-chaired by Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Mr.T.Stamatopulos.

During the meeting, the Head of the Ukrainian delegation informed the participants about the military and political situation in Ukraine and main measures undertaken by the President and Government of Ukraine in the area of strengthening of the defense capacity of our country. Special attention was paid to the work that is carried out in the framework of Comprehensive overview of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.

Participants also discussed the implementation of the Four trust funds that have been launched during the NATO Summit in South Wales in September this year and aimed at supporting reforms in the defense sector of Ukraine.

In the framework of the visit to the NATO HQ, members of the Ukrainian delegation also met with the Assistant Secretary General for Defence Policy and
Planning Mr.H.Brauss. During this meeting the parties discussed the comprehensive assessment of the security and defense sector of Ukraine in order to determine the principles, priorities and areas for cooperation in the medium and long perspective.

Following the visit it was agreed to hold the next meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Working Group on Defence Reform in November this year. Main attention of this meeting will be paid to the development of defense capabilities of our country.
