The members of the meeting reviewed and discussed implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security and contribution of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly into developing of NATO’s relations with partners.
Commenting on the report of the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly K.Lamers, Ambassador I.Dolhov praised the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and NATO Parliamentary Assembly as well as called on NATO and NATO countries to send their observers to monitor the election to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
I.Dolhov said that the participation in the campaign would once again give the observers from NATO Parliamentary Assembly countries possibility to ensure themselves in strict commitment of the Ukrainian government to free and fair elections and, thus, commitment to shared values, on which cooperation between Ukraine and NATO is based.
